This fireplace "hybrid" combines the qualities of several heating products, namely the beauty of a glass door and the heat of an insert. Coupled with unique features like the optional Stainless Steel Grill and standard Pyro-Ceramic Glass, this product is a true Champion. Designed and Hand-Crafted in the USA.	The A. Blacksmith Heat Champion features Keystone Applique', Blacksmith Handles, Decorative Banding, and Door Accents similar to the Blacksmith Collection of Stoll glass doors.

An open fireplace and chimney is one of the largest energy leaks in a home; like leaving a door or window open to the outside. There are ways to close up an open fireplace and save energy. One way is to install a glass door on the fireplace opening. A glass door allows you to enjoy the beauty and warmth of an open fire, while still closing it up when not in use. This is a very beautiful option, but almost all heat is lost up the chimney. A second option is to install an insert into the fireplace. This is very efficient and captures a lot of the heat that is lost with a fireplace door. However, the trade off is that an insert is not nearly as beautiful as a glass door. The unique design of the Heat Champion gives you the benefits of both a glass door and a fireplace insert. This is why we call it a "hybrid". Like a glass door, you get the beauty of being able to see the fire. And like an insert, you save energy be using the heat generated by the fire.
